Clockwise-Me, Joy, Jacki, AmyAmy and Joy are my favorite girls from work. Jacki used to work with us - she's still our bud though. She was on the planning committee for the QOTN shindig.
Tonight I went to Coweta's 1st annual 'Queen of the Night' fundraiser. We had a great time!! 3 course meal, silent auction, fashion show, live auction (they auctioned off men from Coweta. 2 firemen, a police officer, high school principal, and banker. No cat calls allowed - but they get to be your handy-man for 3 hours), and they crowned the very first Ms. Coweta. They had a drawing (4 items) and I won the first one!!! :) I was stoked! I got a bottle of Pink Pinot Grigio!! Woohoo!!!! I'm going to save that for our first night in the new house.
We took pictures and I will post them as soon as the damn error messages goes away. I've been trying to put the pictures on this post but it won't let me! WTF. I know I'm computer savvy... so there's got to be an internal issue. I will keep trying though. I don't want Beth to have a heart attack when she gets off the plane next Friday! :)
Ok so I have gotten used to my new hair. It's not so bad once I figured out how to style it. Now all I need is some highlights. I'm thinking light brown and a little red. Fall is coming up so I need to be fashionable for the season. I know - summer is barely here... but I don't think i want to go blonde like usual. I just can't keep up with those nasty trailer park roots.
I found out today that the footings are completed!! Hopefully they will be able to lay the foundation now. We're going up there this weekend to check it out and take progress pictures. I will be sure and keep my blog updated with the latest and greatest photos.

My hair is officially chopped off! I have serious mixed feelings about it. The nastyness is all cut off thankfully... but I don't think I'm all that happy. It could just be the way she styled it, but it's so not me. I'll try to play with it tomorrow - hopefully I can figure out a way to make it work. Otherwise I might as well shave it off and start over. Eeeeeekkkkkkkkkk! I'll get a pic on here soon so you can see it.

Ok... so I haven't post in like a month. Sorry peeps!! :) It's really not because I'm lazy, I just haven't had the emotional energy to sit down and type. But tonight is different. I have a couple glasses of wine in me and I'm feeling the vibe.
My life has been consumed with this house being built... or lack there of. They still haven't started on our house!!!!! Can you believe it!?!?! WTF I say!? I talked to Joy (co-worker) and she said houses are going up like crazy by her. Rain or shine, they're pouring the foundations and propping up houses like mad! It's a conspiracy. The gods don't want us to have a house. That's the only explanation I can think of. Hell... even the houses on either side of us are up. They were able to pour those people's foundations. What about ours?!?!?! At this rate we'll be lucky if we're in our home by mid October instead of mid September like they said. Jeanne and I were so hoping to be in there by our 9 year anniversary on September 19th. But nooooo. Damn bitches! Can you tell I'm a little upset? :)
On a positive note... we received our updated good faith estimate from our lender yesterday. If his estimations are correct, we will only have to come up with $500 at closing. SWEET!!!! We have been scrimping this past month saving every penny we could because we thought we had to have like $1500... as well as save for our washer/dryer and fridge. So - we're pretty stoked about that.
I am cutting my hair off tomorrow! My nasty mane has fried tips and feels like straw. Crazy hairdresser lady killed my hair a year ago. She left the hair dye on my hair for literally 5 hours while she waited on other customers! Every now and then she would check it and say.. a little longer. Who does that!?!?!?!? I didn't have my backbone back then to question her. Partly because I figured she knew what she was doing, but ever since then my hair has been falling out in gobs. I no longer have thick, full hair. It's nasty and it needs to be cut off. I think it's long enough now that I can cut off all the damaged parts she created. UGH! If I ever saw her again so help me!!
Work has been going good for the most part. Aside from my schizophrenic attention crazed customers of course. I swear they all have multiple personalities.
Our big cheese came up with a fun contest for us staffers. If we meet a certain billable goal, he will fly everyone and a guest to Las Vegas and put us up for 3 nights in the Bellagio! HELL YEAH! He did it 2 years ago right before I started and they still talk about how much fun they had. On top of that, if us 4 recruiters hit our separate goal (soooo attainable), he will give each of us a LARGE sum of money to take with us or to do whatever we please. We think we will hit our separate goal by the end of August. Half of that I will use for closing and the other half we will blow in Vegas!! Woohoo!!!! :o) I can't wait. Jeanne and I went to Vegas a few months before we split in 05. We had the worst time imaginable! We were pretty much at each other's throats or ignored each other the entire trip so our vacation was tainted. It will be nice to build a new memory of Vegas :) We're ready!
Everything with Jeanne and I has been wonderful. We've been back together for 1 year and 4 months now and it doesn't feel like that long. I thank God every day that we got back together and fixed our relationship. I just don't know what I would do without my Jeanne. :)
