Res Update

Not even a full month into the new year and resolution #1 is kicking my ass. I've gained 1.2lbs in a week. WTF! All I can say is that better be all that tea I've been drinking. I've been more active this past week than in forever. NOT happy! Oh well.. there's always next week.

I think I've got a handle on Res #2. Punky and I had a come to Jesus meeting a few weeks back about the little things that got to us... and I think that made a huge difference. I'm pretty much my old self again. No thanks to hormones... damn hormones.

The IRS can kiss my fat ass! I'm not a fan of Turbo Tax... nor am I a fan of TaxAct.com. They both say I owe a shit load of money. AS used Turbo Tax last year and about peed on her chair... so she went to a tax guy and ended up getting money back. I need that guy! Otherwise I might be going to the local health center and selling some plasma. I hear you can get like up to $40 a week. Might be worth it. Would it hurt?

Work is soooo slow we can hardly stand it. It's slow all over though... so it's not just us. I guess no one wants a job anymore? Lazy bums... get off your hiney and come in and see me. I need you so I can feed my Punky!!

Totally my new favorite band! Leisha Hailey from The L Word has had a couple other bands, but this one by far is the best. I could totally hear 'Say So' on the radio. I think the masses would like it. 'Explode' is awesome too! Check it out :)

Team Lethal

First and foremost, let me say that when you get hit in the inner thigh by a paintball, it hurts like hell!!! I wanted to scream every obscenity that I could... but of course there was no profanity on the field. 'Crap' was screamed A LOT!

We had our company 'team building' exercise today at Collinsville's Paintball Land. I loved it!!!! Punky and I have been saying we were going to go for years, but never have. She wasn't able to come this time, because it was strictly for us worker-bees. My team was called Team Lethal. Cheese #1 was on my team which rocked because he's had a lot of PB experience. We won 5 games and lost 2. AS was on the losing team..lol. She wasn't too happy about that. Me and JM were the shining stars I tell ya.

If you haven't played, you must try it! There was a measure of fear when we were playing. We had to sneak around and try to find our opposing players. We were not able to hit each other if we were less than 20 feet away (it would hurt WAY too much)... so when 2 people come up on each other by surprise, you each just run like the wind and take cover.

Muddy jeans, ink covered sweatshirt, and hands that are so yellow from ink you'd swear I had jondus... that's a good day! :)

I jumped on the tracker bandwagon. I only have like 4 people on my blog, but I still thought it would be fun. :)

I listed my car on Craig's list :( I don't think it will sell, because I'm pretty much asking what I owe and what I owe is what it's worth in 'excellent condition' according to bluebook. Why am I wanting to sell my car you ask? I'm one of those impulse buyers. When I want something, I don't really shop around. I see what I want and if I can afford it at the time - it's mine! That's what I did with my car. If I had received a decent interest rate I wouldn't be blogging about this now, but I was gypped so my payments are high (well... high for me). So, mine and Punky's thought is to sell my car and get a cheaper used one off of one of the Coweta auto lots. Holy crap there are like 10 used car lots in Coweta!! lol We'll see if our plan works. Otherwise I've got 4 more years of this high payment which would suck. This is part of my plan to get financially comfortable. Living paycheck to paycheck is for the birds! We want all of our debt paid off by 2009, minus student loans of course. Not too sure if that will happen, but we're going to give it our best shot.

Punky and I had a fun day yesterday. She got off work at 10am, which is unheard of! So we fiddle-faddled around the house for a couple hours and then headed off to the casino...trying to win some money to pay off those bills :) Nah... we know we won't win, but it's fun to play. I got really lucky on one machine and actually won $60, but lost it all of course. The cool thing is we played for 5 hours - YES 5 HOURS and only lost 40 bucks. How cool is that. Well worth it.

Our first dinner party was a HUGE hit! There was not a drop of food left in the pan :) Woohoo! I owe Dad big for his genius recipe!!

We didn't take that many pictures because we were too busy talking, drinking, playing guitar hero, and making fools of ourselves. Yes... we all drank like fish and our neighbors were probably wanting to call the cops because I think I remember us getting a bit rowdy in the front yard...

My first

Dinner party is Saturday night!! Woohoo!! Mom and Dad were not able to make my first attempt at a dinner party, so this will end up being the first. Our attendees are AS, JM and her girl friend C. No clue her last name..lol. So she's just C. I'm going to make the BEST dish in the world. It's what Dad calls 'teriyaki chicken' and OMG it's soooo good. I'll pick out the chicken of course. I have no clue how to make it. I think I remember the ingredients... but I'm going to call Dad tomorrow and get all the details. I can't have my first party fail by gosh. No no no. We're probably going to kill some guitar hero while we drink too... that should make for some interesting pictures. TBC.

Typical Resolutions

I'm not really creative when it comes to resolutions. Actually.. I don't think I've ever made and kept a resolution in my life. What's wrong with this picture? I have serious lack of follow through sometimes... don't confuse that with laziness though :)

So here it goes. I'm doing to do my damnedest to stay with it this year.

#1 LOSE WEIGHT!! Good lord we all know I can live off of the fat of the land for a while and it's sickening. I miss the days of thinking I was fat my senior year when I wore a size 9... and a medium shirt! Holy shit! I don't think 1 boob would fit into a medium shirt these days. XL or 1X for me :( So... I figured it up and if I lost 40 lbs, I would be the weight I was when I graduated. I'll settle for 30. I was actually almost 20 lbs lighter when Doug and I were engaged. Gaawwwwd... that was like 2 years ago. So... I think 30 would be great. Mark my words. December 31, 2008 I will be at least 30 lbs lighter or I'll give permission to have Richard Simmons come and whip my ass!

#2 Control my mood swings. You'd think I was going through the change or something. For no reason at all I'll snap and Punky will think I'm a pod person. It's sad really. Maybe I need back on those old lady pills? Breathe in... breathe out... in... out...

#3 Work out a budget/savings plan. I made up a make-shift budget when we were buying this house, but I've dropped it since we moved in. Now more than ever I need to stick to one. Punky and I don't combine our money... it's hers and hers lol. She has her system and it seems to work for her, so I need to create one for myself.

#4 Enroll in school again. I've been out of school for 3 semesters now. Not cool! This coming semester I would have to pay out of pocket, which isn't going to happen. So, I'll wait for the fall when I can get back on financial aid. I have 4 classes left for my associates, then it's on to my Bachelors Degree. I hate that I took so many classes that don't count towards my Associates Degree in Business Administration. Who knew Bowling I & II wouldn't count? I built up my skills though. 150 avg baby!!!

I think that's it for now. If I think of anything I'll add it later. This is plenty for me to wrap my head around. I have a headache now. Too much brain activity.
