We're back!!!

We went to Gruene on Tuesday and it was such a neat place. We ate at the Gristmill like Alli and Pups suggested. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great!! After we ate we went to the general store, sat at the ice cream counter and ate an ice cream. Too cool! :) Oh, Punky helped a small child steal a lolli-pop from the store! He couldn't quite get on the stool to reach the HUGE lolli-pop so Punky handed it to him. He said 'thanks' as he grabbed it and hauled ass out of the store. HAHAHAHA. We both were in shock. A couple minutes later he came back in with a shit eating grin on his face, along with his grandpa - and they paid for the candy. Cracked us up!

Ma and Dad would LOVE that place. Unfortunately we got there around 4:30 and lots of the shops were closing down. Not sure why they would close around 5pm, but ok. We did go inside a couple stores and walked around the entire place. :) We highly recommend it.

We left Gruene and headed for San Marcos. We saw 2 signs for the Tanger Outlet Mall and the Prime Outlet Mall. Yay!!! Punky was in hog heaven... as was I of course. Tanger wasn't as big as Prime. WOW! That place was huge!! She got a few things for herself and a couple for me... then said... Let's go into the Coach store and find you a purse. OK!! :) Hurt me. Even the clearance purses were $250. That's just insane. So - we went down to the Dooney store and Punky bought me the perfect purse!!!!!! YAY!!!!!! I've wanted a Dooney since middle school. Too cool :) Happy Birthday and Anniversary. lol

We spend quite a bit of time at the outlet stores and had the best time there!! The clouds were rolling in and the win picked up quite a bit. Damn hurricane. We just knew Schlitterbahn would be rained out. But it wasn't. We had a great time there. Got rained on a couple times, but it was no big deal. My damn water shoes gave me 4 blisters on my left foot and 2 on the other. So I had to carry them towards the end. Not a fan of stepping on gooey substances. Yuck.

We got home yesterday around 3pm. Punky cleaned the whole house while I unpacked. I got the better end of the deal. After that we crashed. Driving takes it out of ya! She's still sleeping as I type. We're wienies :)

Had a great time - glad to be home. Not looking forward to getting back to work Monday after talking to my boss on the way home. There's a shit storm a brewin and I want to be as far away from that as I can. More on that later.

Good ol San Antonio

Punky ended up sleeping for quite a while yesterday - and we finally left for the Riverwalk around 7pm. Probably a good idea since you could fry an egg on my ass in this heat. Lord almighty is this the entrance to hell?

We walked around the entire thing... which I don't remember being 10 miles. It was so beautiful! Punky got great pictures and we ate dinner by the Rivercenter mall - which was very relaxing.
On a side note, why do people insist on stopping right in front of you? I can't tell you how many times people felt my boobs yesterday. I mean geeze!!! Why is it that I always get out of people's way when we're walking towards each other? Fuck that. Half way through I thought - NO SIR! I will not get out of your way. You are perfectly capable of moving your fat ass around me for a change. So - more people felt my boobs... and my arm. I think I even half way knocked some chick over because her big burly arm was sticking out for all to run into. Bitches. Move out of my way :) YAY! Having a great time on vacation!!! :)

Today is museum day. We went to the Witte - which was a waste of time. We're not into that kind of artwork - so we left there and went to the McNay. Loved that!!! Spend 2 hours there. The battery in our camera was going out so we headed back to the hotel to charge em up and take a break from hell.

Next stop - San Antonio Museum of Art!!! :) I think we're going to try and hit Greune next and eat dinner at a place Alli recommended. It is only 1:30 after all... so we have plenty of time.

Tomorrow is Schlitterbahn so I don't think I will get another chance to post until we're back. Ciao peeps.

On Vacation!!!

YAY!! Punky and I are on vacation as we speak... or type :)

She's in the hotel room taking a much deserved nap and I'm in the business center trying to get my computer fix. I can't remember any of my work web addresses - which is probably a good thing, so I thought I would blog.

So... we left Coweta Saturday morning and headed for Houston to visit my #2 bro and his wifey. We had a BLAST!! They took us to the coolest boardwalk place called Kemah (sp?). We fed stingrays and saw a zillion sailboats. I was a little more afraid of feeding the stingrays, but I was able to do it one time... while Punky did it over and over. Such a weenie I am. lol

My #1 bro and his two kids met us there for dinner and helped to end the fabulous day. Yay!! One side bit... it was hot as hell. I don't know how hot hell is... but I'm sure it was comparable.

We headed off to SA yesterday. OMG that was a total mess!! I can't begin to wrap my feelings around this one... lol. Let's give this a shot. We got turned around trying to get out of Dickinson and ended up spending around $15 in toll. The highway was supposed to say west. Well - I took the west exit and a after paying $1.50 in toll twice, saw that we were on the highway going north. We didn't want to go north damn in... we wanted west. I thought I missed a turn so we turned around and paid another $1.00 to exit the ramp and $1.00 to get back on the damn toll road in the opposite direction heading south... so I could find where I went wrong and go west again. We paid $1.50 two more times and then the damn highway sign said we were going east. WTF! I don't want to go east damn it... I want to go south. A light bulb went off in my head and I realized that the fucking highway likes to play tricks on you and change the signs mid way. We turned around again and paid the toll to get off and back on again - and went back in the original direction to pay another $1.50 twice. I was a tad pissed by the time we got out of the Houston area. Good times. Shake it off... you're a big girl!

We got into SA and saw the loop we needed. It has been 17 years since I've been here so I had no clue where anything was. All I knew was that loop 410 looped the city. We took the loop and saw a sign saying Loop 410 Austin. We don't want to go to Austin... so we panicked and exited off onto I35 towards downtown. We weren't quite ready to hit downtown, but thought what the heck might as well. That was a cluster fuck right from the start. I'm not so good with one-way roads. They are not my friend. Keep in mind - we did not have a map of SA. Just a tiny printout from lovely ol Mapquest showing the entire state of Texas. Shit.

We found our way out of downtown and ended up on this road that took us into a residential area. Hum... we weren't ready for the hood. Freaked us out a bit. Just don't look em in the eye.

We needed to find a hotel and fast. Our stomach's were both pissed off at us - not sure why. But if we didn't find a hotel soon were were both going to shat ourselves. We went to a place close to downtown, but still a little seedy. It was cheap but they wouldn't be ready for an hour. We went ahead and booked it since it was so cheap and decided to go see my old home and high school. We found our way to the loop and saw a ton of hotels with restaurants and everything. Better than what we booked. So - we pulled in to these hotels and Punky went in to check if they had smoking room and get rates ... while I called every Travel Lodge from 411 to get our room cancelled. Everything was CRAZY expensive so we didn't pick any of the 4 we checked on. We finally said screw it and picked the Motel 6. OMG OMG OMG - bad idea! It was like $49/night which should have been our first clue. I thought - we won't be here long... just to sleep so it should be ok. One foot in the room and we both wanted to throw up. The bathroom had a long hair in the sink. The floor was nasty - wet - and just disgusting. Punky turned down the bed to see how bad the sheets were and about heaved. We found 3 pubes and a long hair in the first foot of sheet we looked at. What the fuck is the maids problem? Ever heard of changing the sheets bitch? We got our money back and left that nasty rat hole of hell in pursuit for another hotel. Found another one and wanted to check it out first before we committed and booked. Both of us went inside and again... found pubes in the bed and hair on the bathroom floor. UGH! We ended up driving the entire loop and couldn't find anything we could afford. In desperation, we headed for I-10/35. We saw a zillion hotels, but couldn't figure out how to get to them - so screw that attempt. Over 2 hours in to looking for a hotel and 10 minutes away from divorce found us by a small cluster of hotels near downtown. Surely something was available that was under $100/night. The last place we checked had no smoking rooms, but was affordable. Punky was about to give birth to Satan's baby so this one had to work. She waited in the car while I looked at the room. It appeared to be clean enough - very strange decor - but who gives a shit. I didn't see pubes on the bed or hairs in the sink, so I knew we were in good shape. I thought Punky was going to cry when I said 'let's book it!'. She even told the front desk guy she would give him a hug if she saw it was clean. lol... she's seen so many of those specials about hotel rooms - it has her ruined for life!

It was so-so clean to her and she still felt like she needed to wash herself in scalding water for an hour... so to make her feel better we went to the nearest Wal-Mart and purchased the cheapest sheet set we could find. Two flat double sized sheets and two pillow cases. Hallelujah!! We made the bed with our new, clean sheets and all was right with the world!

And that was just our first day. :)

Today was Sea World. We got up at 7:15am and ate breakfast in the lobby. I got a Texas shaped waffle. lol. Yum!!! Got to Sea World at 8:45... they open at 10am. The entry way was open at 9am so we went on in and fed the dolphins!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! I loved every minute of that!!! Punky got a picture of my arm as I was feeding one - so that will have to do :) We saw the tail end of the Beluga show (like cirque des ole on water), and saw the entire Killer Whale show. That was the best part. I loved that :) Got soaked and everything. 4 hours later and 150 degrees later - we were spent and came back to the hotel.

I think we're going to the Riverwalk tonight. Not sure though... more on that one later :) YAY - Having a fabulous time!! Jealous yet?

Sooo tired!

Ok so I worked over 60 hours last week. NO THANK YOU!! That sucked. We have a new software program in the works and it's our job to enter everything from the old program into the new one, as well as clients and job order. Um... I have like 135 employees to enter as well as their 135 job orders. Everyone else has no more than about 90 to enter. The runt of the branch only has like 50. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated over the damn thing. It even took my weekend. Well - not all of it, but I did have to go to work Sat and Sunday!

Saturday was partially fun. Punky got tickets to the Phantom of the Opera for us and her mom and nephew. That was pretty cool. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't had the looming pressures of having to go to work afterwards. Kinda dampened my spirits some.

These eyes of mine are giving out :( I think I really need glasses. The close up stuff I'm ok with, it's the distance that gets me. I used to be able to see a fly from across the street. Now I do good to see letters on a billboard. UGH! It sucks getting old. Yes - I will be turning the ripe old age of 30 in two weeks. My-o-my how time flies when you're a slave to the man.

On the brighter side, Punky and I leave for our vacation to Texas this Saturday!!!! YAY! Double YAY!! We are going to have dinner with Bro #2 and Alli that night... and hopefully Bro #1. I have not been able to reach Bro #1 to confirm, but I'm hoping he will be able to attend. Sunday we're heading for San Antonio. I haven't been there since the summer of 1993! That's like forever ago. I can't believe I'm actually going to see SA again. I never thought I would make it back there. Luckily Punky has always wanted to go see the Riverwalk and museums so when I suggested a visit to Texas she was all for it. I want to see SEA WORLD!! I'm so excited I just might pee myself.

In case you are wanting to stay abreast of our plans... here you go.

• Saturday - Arrive in Texas for dinner with the family.
• Sunday - Head to San Antonio and find a cheap motel for 4 nights. Tour the Riverwalk.
• Monday - SEA WORLD! It's going to be like a National Lampoons moment for me. I plan on us getting there well before they open and be the first in line. OMG OMG! I'm such a dork to be so excited. Kiss it!
• Tuesday - Visit 3 museums: Witte, McNay, San Antonio Museum of Art. Then show Punky our old apt, school, hangouts, etc. I'm soooo looking forward to that too.
• Wednesday - Schlitterbahn :) Punky thought of that one. She hates amusement park rides, but loves water park rides. Where is the logic in that? Well - I guess water park rides don't spin you until you want to puke. That could be it.
• Thursday - Head back to good ol Coweta, Oklahoma.

The girls at work are already cursing me for going on vacation an entire week. No one does that. Well the runt of the branch did last year, but she doesn't contribute that much anyway so it wasn't such a big deal. The rest of us can only take no more than 2 days off at a time before someone freaks out. I do hate that about my job. We all take care of so much on our own - when we leave all hell breaks loose. I have quite a bit to do this week in preparation for my vacation, so hopefully they won't be too overwhelmed. I want to be able to leave for a week again next year so I had better get my ducks in a row to make it all go smoothly. Fingers crossed! ! ! !

Fun times with the Cuz

I know... I know... I know. I'm a terrible blogger :) I've been crazy busy at work these past couple weeks and don't even have time to get on the computer and play my crazy games that I love so much. So needless to say I've been failing as a blogger. But... hopefully this will redeem me :) 2 weekends ago when cousin "AS" was here she dyed our hair... well foiled mine blonde and colored Punky's a pretty auburn color. Poor Punky was not flexible enough to bend backwards for AS to rinse her out. It might have been the buzzed state of mind I was in, but this was pretty funny stuff :)
