Battle of the Bulge

As most of you know, brother's girlfriend was diagnosed with PCOS like me. Her dr put her on Glumetza which helped her lose like 50 or 60 lbs I think... without exercising a single bit!!! So... I went to my dr and asked for the same meds hoping it will help me. Glumetza is a nasty horse pill that I just can't swallow. I tried for over 30 minutes the other day and my brain would not let me swallow it. UGH! DAMN BRAIN!!! It can't be cut in half or crushed so I was pretty much screwed. So... Metformin is the same thing, just the generic version, and it can be cut up. I took my first pill this morning :) YAY! I'm going to exercise though... not a big fan of excess skin hanging around and being flabby. So I'm going to tone as I lose. Keep your fingers crossed that it works for me like it did her.

Oh to be skinny. I've never been skinny. I was average size from about late 1995 - 1997 but then everything went tits up and I've been as big as a house ever since. It's the worst feeling trying on clothes in the department store and NOTHING fits right. It would be nice to buy a top that wasn't an XL or a 1X. Cute tops never come in 1X... and the ones that come in an XL are too tight on my gigantic boobs!

Punky and I are going to look at exercise equipment today. It's too expensive to go to a gym, so I thought if I can bring the gym to me I would stick with it and it would be cheaper. The only problem is where to put our new equipment. Not too much room in the ol house. Punky has one room dedicated to nothing but her art work... so that's out of the question. The other is the computer/guest room. Not that we've had many guests that need the bed... but AS sleeps in it if she ever drinks too much while visiting :) I'm going to have to figure something out though.

I've been selling some things on Ebay lately. Purging some DVD's and books that I no longer want. I'm surprised how much people will pay for things used. I got at least $5 for every DVD I listed. It's all going towards my workout fund. Every little bit helps.

This is some funny stuff... I recorded Jaws the other day while watching another cat from outside the window. This is just the beginning of the whole ordeal. It got much worse, but I was too focused on ending his freak-out that I didn't get anything else recorded. Damn. I will try better next time :)
