Food is the ENEMY!

My co-worker AS and I are having a weight loss contest. We have 6 weeks to lose as much weight as we can (healthy of course). The one with the least amount of weight loss has to be the others weekend slave. That WILL NOT be me!


I had an epiphony tonight. I don't know why I never let this sink in before, but food is not fun. Food is not entertainment. Food will not take my problems away. Food will not make me happy. Food keeps me alive. Peroid. So... I need to reprogram my brain and that's going to be hard. But I know it has to be done. I HATE that I crave chocolate and cake and ice cream and all that junk food. UGH! Doom on the chocolate creators!


I'm struggling with being a vegetarian while dieting. Since my range of food choices are salad... and vegetables... and salad, I'm pretty much screwed. All of the other good-for-you vegetarian foods I don't like. If I keep going with this I will get sick of eating salad and I will binge on chocolate. That can not happen! Before when I would go on a diet, I would eat a small piece of lean chicken and a little bit of veggies with a glass of skim milk. That was easy and it filled me up and I didn't want to eat anything else afterwards. Now when I finish my measely dinner I crave something else. Such decisions....

There you are sunshine! I think about you every single morning when I walk into work and tell each person I see "Good morning sunshine!" :)

OK - so true. Food sucks! Why Why WHY does it have to be so good? Especially the chocolate kind and the fried ones? HUH? You better be getting some protein? Can you eat eggs? yogurt? peanut butter?

Yooouu can dooooooooooo eeeeeeeet!

Hmmmmmmmm? Minimal food choices? Salads and veggies. Let's see. Coleslaw, jello, bean sprouts, beans and cornbread, soup, green tea, rice, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, vegetarian hotdogs and vegetarian hamburgers,......maybe you can take a look at a healthfood store and find more varieties and options. Vitamins can help too. You will find the right combination I am sure and you will be successful in your goal. Remember one thing, I love you for who you are, the most beautiful daughter a dad can have. :-)

ETK - I LOVE LOVE LOVE peanut butter. That's my main source of protein...but the sugar content isn't that good :( I can't eat eggs, they mess with my tummy. I'm just doomed.

Dad - Everything you mentioned I like except for coleslaw. Not to shabby :) I was just telling Punky that I need to get more bean sprouts this weekend and stock up on some beans and oatmeal. I have the soup thing down... I usually eat Healthy Choice Vegetarian Vegetable Soup for lunch. It's not too bad. I haven't tried the vegetarian hotdogs, but I did have a veggie burger from BK once. It wasn't too bad.

Alli - 6 months ago I watched a video called "Meet Your Meat" on Youtube and it made me sad to see how the animals are killed for our food. So I became a vegetarian so I wouldn't kill any more animals.
