Praise be to my family!!

They totally came through for us this weekend. Dad, Ma, and Bro came over Saturday to help level the ground for the pool and we TOTALLY succeeded. It's fabulous... it's level... it's full of water again :) This time we're keeping it. I put the chemicals in today so hopefully that will help get the color of the water back to normal... not too keen on green tinted water. The pool isn't dirty... just the water. Strange.

I'm off tomorrow. YAY! I've got a ton of to-do's on my list:

• Take the tiller back to AS (Her father graciously lent it to us to help with the leveling and Dad is a tilling genius!)


• Take the wheel barrow back to the grandparents. Or... maybe I'll save that one for next weekend. Not sure if it will be needed this week.


• Return a super cute bathing suit to Wal-Mart. Punky and I found me a fabulous suit yesterday but it looked like crap on me. It's one of those tankini's. The bottoms are like boy shorts... and MY GOSH I look like crap in those. The top tied around my neck and the girls were hanging out like a prostitute. Not a pretty site.


• Return the plastic edging thingies we got over a month ago at Big Lots. The plastic stake parts bend like no other. Plastic is not a good idea with harder than hard clay-like dirt. We fixed our edging problem by stealing some cool rocks from the river today :) We were in total stealth mode. We weren't sure if taking rocks was illegal since it was a state park/ lake area. They look fabulous in our flowerbed!! I will take some pics and post later.


• If the water is still green tomorrow I need to take a water sample in. Let's hope it's clear!!


• If I'm feeling spunky enough I might get out and cut the grass again. Punky just mowed Thursday but it looks like it was never touched!


• WATER the grass!! I'm so bad at setting the sprinkler on. Well - forgetful is more accurate. Punky got a ton of free sod from her work and we 'planted' that today behind our property by the pond. She should be getting another truck full next week so we will hopefully have the entire area sodded. Is that a word... sodded? Anyway - I HAVE to remember to water the sod every day.


• Prepare a fabulous late lunch/early dinner for Punky. Not sure what I'm going to cook, but she deserves a good meal after having worked all day on Memorial Day. It's so not fair... she has only had 1 Memorial Day off since I've known her. Evidently they're pretty busy at work that day :)

We haven't seen the 2 geese since last weekend. Here's the pic of them resting by our tree. I miss them :(
